We're partnered with a leading industrial materials company is seeking a Decarbonization Engineer to support the development and deployment of decarbonization technologies across its operations. This role focuses on process innovation, technology development, and retrofitting within heavy industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support feasibility studies, pilot projects, and early-stage deployment of decarbonization technologies
- Conduct process design, modeling, heat and mass balances, and optimization studies
- Assist with equipment selection, commissioning, and validation activities
- Troubleshoot process and emissions-related challenges in industrial manufacturing environments
- Contribute to permitting support, technical documentation, and best-practice development
- Promote safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Graduate degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Controls Engineering, or related field (PhD or Bachelor’s considered)2–5 years of experience in heavy industry (e.g., lime, cement, chemicals, oil & gas, or related sectors)Knowledge of decarbonization technologies, flue gas treatment, and industrial process controlExperience with process modeling tools (e.g., Aspen) and strong analytical skillsWillingness to travel across the U.S. and Canada (up to ~50%)English fluency required; additional languages an assetCandidate Profile
