Icon Energy Services Ltd. is a growing company on the cutting edge of oilfield service technology that specializes in professional engineering, design and drafting, custom CNC machining, welding and fabrication, non-destructive examination, and oilfield equipment recertification and remanufacturing.
We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Technician / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position will be based in Red Deer County, AB.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Answer vendor inquiries and resolve any billing issues or concerns.
- Credit card reconciliation
- Review weekly job reports
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and transactions
- Process accounts payable transactions with a high level of accuracy
- Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management
- Answer and direct incoming calls
- Greet and direct visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain and order office and coffee room supplies
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum of 2 years direct work-related experience in the Accounting and Administrative field, preferably in the oil & gas sector
- Post secondary certificate or diploma in accounting is required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient in Microsoft office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience in Business Central would be an asset
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Accurate data entry skills with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understand ethical conduct and business practices
- Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Foster teamwork by working cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions
- Able to prioritize and assess situations to determine importance and urgency
