PLC Programmer

We are currently looking for a PLC programmer with excellent communication skills, innate organizational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Main responsibilities :
Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager and in close collaboration with our Senior Programmer, the PLC Programmer will be responsible for the following tasks :
- Ensure machine start-up and document procedures.
- Write detailed reports on start-ups.
- Carry out rigorous quality controls and configure digital inputs and outputs via touch interfaces.
- Actively participate in the development and improvement of control systems.
- Program PLCs and HMIs efficiently.
- Provide technical telephone support to technicians on customer sites.
- Work closely with the senior programmer to modify and optimize programs.
- Carry out any other related tasks required for the smooth running of the engineering department.
Skills and qualifications :
- Diploma in automated programming, or in a related field, or equivalent studies
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
- One year's experience with Omron systems or another brand of PLC
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French
- Ability to proactively solve problems and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy and rigour
- Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
