Job Summary :

Manager, Strategic Initiatives & Analytics will play a critical in the development and execution of the organizations biggest infrastructure investments. They will work closely with the Director and VP of Strategic Initiatives’(SI) team, along with senior leaders to influence change and introduce structure in major investment, business, and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities :

Key player in managing multi-disciplinary meetings that drive forward the execution of key strategic projects and program at CSA Group.

Accountable for reporting out the status and progress of all key strategic projects (budgets, timelines, risks, etc).

Leads and maintains the list of growth opportunities, understanding their strategic and financial impact, and manages the “pipeline” of growth ideas and their prioritization on behalf of senior leadership.

Oversees, designs, develops and manages financial models, presentations, and executive communication in support of major strategic initiatives at the C-suite and Board level.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with all geographic and functional leaders including members of senior and executive leadership team.

Act as key liaison between various departments and functions in order to maintain a birds eye view on all major projects in scope, including potential delays, pitfalls, risks, and other issues that may impede project progress.

Guide team to design and operationalize an efficient growth-oriented capital prioritization process to boost innovation and optimize service portfolio across locations.

Manages and expands the use of knowledge assets to identify critical issues and opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and drive synergistic opportunities across locations.

Deploys performance management practices to steer towards achievement of the strategic plan; capture and synthesize learnings to evolve strategy as necessary.

Acts as a constructive “thought partner” to assigned functions / operations to offer objective diagnostic and strategic perspective, and facilitate decision-making, particularly around business investment, prioritization, and resource allocation.

As assigned, design, and deliver impactful analyses in areas such as customer analysis, service / industry / competitive analysis, pricing and revenue optimization, sales enablement, partnership and Merger & Acquisition opportunities, and other areas of strategic importance.

Prepares compelling and succinct communications on complex strategic issues on behalf of EVP, Chief Financial Officer and VP Strategic Initiatives and other Executive / Senior Leaders.

Works in a confidential and collaborative fashion across all business functions, and forges strong relationships with key leaders on the leadership team.

Adhoc duties as required to support senior leaders.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, engineering or related technical field.

MBA, or equivalent advanced degree focused on Strategy and Technology is an asset.

Project Management Designation or equivalent is an asset.

5-7 years of strategy consulting and / or business development experience.

Minimum 3 years Project / Program Management and / or Strategic or Management Consulting or similar experience.

Strong experience in working and managing multi-disciplinary teams in executing against major projects.

Skills :

Solid research, market and finance analysis and analytical skills.
