What are your contributions to the team?

Based in Dorval, the IT Internal Auditor will report to the Head of Internal Audit. The IT Internal Auditor will be responsible for the development, planning and coordination of internal audits required to provide Bombardier management and the Board of Directors with an independent assessment of risks, the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls / processes in place, and the extent to which Bombardier’s resources are managed efficiently and economically and the effectiveness of operations.

He / she will work collaboratively with senior management, while analyzing and prioritizing IT risks.

In your role, you will :

  • Assure management that IT risks are being controlled by assessing risks;
  • Assist improving the governance, risk management and control processes;
  • Participate in the creation and elaboration of the yearly internal audit plan;
  • Based on risk assessments, plan, execute, and complete audit projects;
  • Prepare audit reports that adequately communicate the findings of the audit;
  • Review and challenge proposed actions defined to remediate findings;
  • Perform follow-up reviews to validate results of management action plans;

How to thrive in this role?

As our ideal candidate, you

  • You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or equivalent;
  • You have 2-4 years of experience as an IT auditor or related experience in IT security;
  • You have experience with security standards such as NIST 800-53 and ISO 27001;
  • You have experience with frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, PMBOK;
  • You have strong understanding of business risks and analytical skills;
  • You possess CISA, CISM, CRISC or CISSP certifications (an asset);
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills (French and English);
  • You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills;
  • You have the ability to travel when required (20% of the time).
