A career in our Financial Transformation practice will provide the opportunity to work alongside CFOs VP Finance and controllers to optimize their finance functions and improve their contribution to the business. We support our clients by analyzing needs developing financial solutions and offering guidance and support to help them optimize their financial performance improve decision-making and achieve their financial financial operations at PwC you will specialize in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations within organizations. Your work will involve assessing financial processes identifying areas for improvement and designing and implementing solutions to streamline financial operations enhance controls and reduce costs. You will be responsible for providing guidance on financial systems implementation process automation and financial shared services.

  • Work with PwC colleagues in other lines of services in support of client needs for Finance Transformation servicesacross Canada

  • Lead proposal development process in Finance Transformation opportunitieswhile working alongside industry and market teams

  • Lead the delivery ofmedium-to-largeFinance Transformation engagements including

    • Finance technology enablement (ERPAIor similar implementation)

    • Financial process analysisdesignand implementation

    • Alternative delivery model analysisdesignand implementation (i.e.target operating models such as shared services and outsourcing)

    • Performance management optimization (i.e.reporting and analytics planningbudgeting& forecasting etc.)

    • Finance vendor and software selection

  • Support the engagement partner in managing engagement risk and project economics

  • Preparereviewand ensure engagement deliverables meet PwC and client quality expectations

  • Perform role of coach and activelyparticipatein staff recruitment and retention activities

  • Support team to disruptimproveand evolve ways of working when necessary

  • Arrange and sponsorappropriate assignmentsand experiences to help peoplerealizetheir potential and support their long-term aspirations

  • Identifygaps in the market and spot opportunities to create value propositions

  • Look for opportunities toscaleefficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.Influence andfacilitatethe creation of long-term relationships which add value to the firm

Experiences and skillsyoulluse to solve

  • 7-10 yearsof professionalconsultingexperiencein financefunction and/or finance processes

  • FinanceTechnology:Experience with ERPs and automation solutions (AI or others).Deepexpertisein delivering Finance transformation implementation initiatives and projects.Understanding offinancial applications (i.e.ERPGeneral LedgerAIConsolidation and Business Intelligence systems etc.)

  • FinanceProcess:Workingexpertiseor strong understanding in many if not all of the core Finance areas of:

    • Order-to-Cash order entry customer credit invoicing accounts receivable collections

    • Procure-to-Pay procurement accounts payableprocessing payments

    • Record-to-Report financial close consolidation financial reporting Fixed Assets Inventory Payroll

    • Performance Management - management reporting planning budgeting & forecasting analytics & decision support

  • Experience in process improvement or re-engineering initiatives and projects in the coreback-officeaccounting areas (see above) in a consultant role.

  • Finance strategy andOperatingModels:Expertisewithbest-in-classfinance operating modelsand on how to design target operating models.Experience in developing a finance vision and strategy.Building a transformation roadmap and business caseand deploying transformation initiatives

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) orMBA or related masters is an asset

  • The successful candidaterequiresfluency in English in addition to French as they willbe requiredto support or collaborate with English-speaking clients colleagues and/or stakeholdersduring the course oftheir employment with PwC Canada

The salary range for this position is $191200- $241200.The posted salary rangerepresentsthe expected hiring range forPwC locations in major citycentres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada base salary isdeterminedby your skills experiencequalificationsand work addition to base salary eligible employees may have opportunities toparticipatein variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
