Role Overview
Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Applications , the Senior IT Systems Integration Engineer serves as the technical architect for the organization's digital ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the "digital glue" that allows complex enterprise systems to work seamlessly. This is a high-visibility role for a bold, curious engineer who enjoys solving complex interoperability challenges using APIs, middleware, and automation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design : Create and maintain robust system integrations between enterprise applications, databases, and third-party platforms.
- Development : Build, test, and deploy APIs (REST / SOAP), middleware solutions, and automation scripts to ensure high-speed, reliable data exchange.
- Cross-Functional Leadership : Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and business analysts to define integration requirements and scalable system architecture.
- Optimization : Monitor and troubleshoot integration workflows to ensure 24 / 7 reliability and peak performance.
- Governance : Maintain detailed documentation for data mappings and system dependencies while implementing CI / CD best practices.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management : Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams and external vendors, managing expectations and ensuring quality delivery.
- Compliance : Ensure all integrated systems uphold the highest standards for data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Must-Haves (Qualifications)
Experience : 5–8 years of hands-on experience in systems integration or enterprise software development.Technical Stack : Strong proficiency with APIs (REST, SOAP) and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Apache Camel).Scripting : High proficiency in Python, Java, PowerShell, or Bash.Cloud Expertise : Solid experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (specifically services like AWS Lambda or Azure Logic Apps).Standards : Strong understanding of networking protocols, authentication standards (OAuth2, SAML), and data formats (JSON, XML).CI / CD : Experience with deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.Nice-to-Haves
Advanced Education : Master’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline.Professional Certifications : AWS / Azure Solutions Architect or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect.Specialized Knowledge : Additional certifications in Cybersecurity, DevOps, or Networking.Other Important Details
Compensation : $120,000 – $140,000 CAD per year (dependent on experience).Location : Toronto (Vaughan area), conveniently located near the 404 and 407 .Work Schedule : Onsite 5 days per week.
