Job Description
The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and economic planning and operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. Reporting to the Manager, Systems Projects, this role supports the execution of transmission developments identified in AESO’s Long‑Term Transmission Plan. The Systems Projects group conducts engineering studies and develops and delivers system projects to ensure compliance with transmission planning standards.
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in identifying solutions to system needs, conducting engineering analysis, and making project recommendations within the regulatory framework. You will also contribute to project leadership by leading technical studies, collaborating cross‑functionally, and providing guidance and support to peers.
