Job descriptionEstablished organization Close to public transportation Manage a full-cycle accounting process which includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cheque issuing, bank reconciliation, credit card payment, and financial statements preparation Overseeing financial and accounting functions as well as payroll Preparing tax filings and liaising with external auditors Performing GL account analysis and budget preparation Provide financial accounting analysis & support for operational transactions and budget & forecast activities Ensure accuracy of accounting records and invoices Assist with month end journal entries, reporting and reconciliation Help and support with financial reporting, budgets, cash flow, and financial statements Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial trial balances and lead sheets Train new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing team CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA) preferred 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team Excellent oral and written communication skills
Our Langley based client is seeking a permanent Controller to join the team.
- Competitive salary in the $120,000 - $135,000 range
