We currently have a part-time and full-time position available. The full-time position includes health and dental benefits and RRSP’s.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare food for Members and Guests and ensure that portion control, temperature, and food presentation meet the Arbutus Club standards

Participate in menu planning, food taste-testing meetings, and contributes ideas and suggests for food and service

Control food and supply inventory, including completing physical inventory as required, dating and rotating stock; follows first in, first out procedures

Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures

Requirements & Qualifications

Must be able to stand for long periods of time in an open-style kitchen, withstand heat, and deal with the pressures of preparing food in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

Certification in a basic level of cooking, or previous cooking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, bistro style environment is required.

Front-line customer service experience considered an asset. +

Must have a valid Food Handler / Food Safe Certification
