Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Elevator Mechanic to join our team in Calgary . This role is responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, and servicing of elevators and lifts in residential and low‑rise commercial buildings. The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical background, a high level of professionalism, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the installation, maintenance, and service of elevators and lifts according to technical specifications and safety standards.
• Ensure all work is performed with a focus on quality—no shortcuts—with all units running flawlessly upon completion.
• Perform thorough checks and inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and manufacturer guidelines.
• Exhibit professional conduct at all times—courteous, respectful, and representing Savaria with integrity when dealing with customers, colleagues, and other trades.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, walking, and handling heavy materials.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on‑site and implement effective solutions.
• Foster a safe and cooperative work environment and provide mentorship to apprentices or junior mechanics as needed.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely project completion.
