We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Private Enterprise team. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to deliver high‑quality work, mentor junior team members, and contribute to meaningful outcomes for clients. You will be part of a collaborative team of professionals driven by a shared commitment to excellence—serving our clients, our communities, and one another.
Your Role
- Prepare and assist in executing a wide range of Review, Compilation, and White Paper engagements for private enterprise clients.
- Prepare T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 returns for private enterprise clients with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and note disclosures under ASPE.
- Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and operating procedures, identifying issues and recommending improvements.
- Provide proactive communication with clients to ensure clarity, manage expectations, and build strong working relationships.
- Identify opportunities to add value—including tax planning insights, process improvements, and cross‑team collaboration.
- Support and mentor junior staff through coaching, training, and on‑the‑job learning.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by participating in firm initiatives, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
What You Bring to the Table
CPA designation required (or successful completion of the Common Final Examination, with designation in progress).3+ years of experience in Assurance & Tax within a public practice environment.Strong experience preparing :T2 corporate tax returnsWhite Paper filesCompilation engagementsReview engagementsT1 personal tax returnsT3 trust returnsStrong analytical skills, professional judgment, and exceptional attention to detail.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to excellent client service.Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Experience with Caseware / Caseview, TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online, and Sage Accounting considered an asset.Knowledge of investment holding companies considered an asset.What’s in It for You
