What- the Role :

We are seeking a new Senior Financial Analyst for our client’s corporate tax team. This is a fantastic and very interesting opportunity with a global public company that doesn’t come up often in Vancouver! The role sits at the cross-section of financial analysis, accounting, and tax.

The new Sr FA will analyze the company’s tax compliance, tax provisions, financial statements, transfer pricing, tax planning, etc.

This is a unique and well-rounded role requiring analytical skills, research skills, and strong technical accounting abilities.

The Senior Analyst will prepare consolidated financial statements and will conduct routine and ad hoc analysis pertaining to special projects and tax compliance changes.

The Senior Financial Analyst requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills to understand and analyze complex transactions.

We are seeking an intelligent, curious, driven, self-motivated, and well-rounded Analyst who takes pride in producing top quality work.

The Senior FA will collaborate with colleagues across a variety of teams such as corporate finance, accounting, marketing, supply chain, sourcing & procurement, etc.

Who- the Candidate :

We are looking for analytical tax professionals who enjoy engaging and challenging work in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with high-performing professionals.

Education & Qualifications- Relevant post-secondary education is required, combined with a CPA designation.

Work Experience- At least 5 years’ relevant experience within financial analysis, accounting, corporate tax & tax compliance, and / or transfer pricing.

Experience with tax provisions is highly preferred.

Systems- Excellent systems savvy, including deep proficiency in Excel (financial modeling) and experience with PowerPoint. Experience using an ERP.

Company Exposure- Experience working with a public company and / or a global company is highly preferred (this company has operations all around the world)

Where :

Downtown Vancouver . Close to public transit and many amenities like restaurants and shops. Hybrid Model : Once they are onboarded, the Senior FA can choose to work from home up to 2 days a week.

How Much :

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and skills- likely in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 (please note that to be considered at the top end of the range, candidates will need to have many of the nice to have qualifications and over 7 years’ of relevant and progressive work experience).
