Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted clients seeking a comfortable, efficient, and safe flying experience.
After a decade in business, Chrono Aviation has expanded its fleet to 15 aircraft and employs over 300 people. Chrono is a Quebec-based airline offering planes that can accommodate between 9 and 120 passengers, exclusively for charter flights. With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono continues its expansion, reinforcing its position as a leader in the charter flight industry in Quebec and Canada.
Role and context
The Crew Scheduler is responsible for managing and coordinating crew schedules to meet the airline’s operational needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Collaborating with multiple departments, the Crew Scheduler optimizes human resources to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, adjust, and maintain crew schedules in compliance with flight time and rest regulations.
- Manage unexpected events, such as absences or operational changes, by reallocating crews in real-time.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance departments to coordinate crew needs.
- Ensure clear and timely communication with crew members regarding their schedules and any changes.
- Utilize specialized software systems for managing schedules and assignments.
- Analyze and forecast future crew needs based on planned flight schedules.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and negotiate solutions while adhering to collective agreements.
- Ensure adherence to rules regarding crew safety and well-being.
- Generate reports on assignments and schedule changes to support decision-making.
- Participate in coordination meetings with other departments to plan operations.

A degree in management, logistics, or aviation, or equivalent experience (an asset).Relevant experience in scheduling, aviation, or logistics (an asset).Strong knowledge of scheduling software and specialized IT tools.Understanding of aviation regulations.Ability to analyze data and resolve complex problems.Excellent time management and decision-making under pressure.Availability to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Proficiency in French is required for this position, along with a strong command of English to interact with English-speaking clients in Canada and worldwide.What we can offer you
