Senior Accountant
True Mechanical is looking for a senior accountant to work closely with operations, generating invoices, performing collections and payments, preparing payroll, along with assisting corporate reporting and analysis.
Reporting to the Controller, you will bring your passion for organization, attention to detail, and ability to prepare proper support for accounting and financial reporting.

As a full-time employee, you participate in the following programs through a monthly payroll deduction. You are eligible for these benefits as long as you are employed with us.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Life insurance up to $350,000 up to age 65; then up to $175,000 up to age 70.
Life insurance for your spouse $10,000 and $5,000 for each child up to your 70th birthday.
- Short-Term Disability up to $700 per week for a maximum of 26 weeks
- Long-Term Disability up to $6,000 per month up to age 65.
Day-to-day activities would include :
- Prepare scheduled payroll for company
- Preparing invoices for customers with support
- Communicate invoice issues to management and resolve customer invoicing problems
- Receipt and payment of vendor invoices as accounts payable
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts on monthly basis
- Perform monthly transactions and update related schedules
- Assist in preparing data for financial reports
Candidates should have the following attributes :
- Enjoy working and accomplishing new tasks, and figuring things out on your own
- Extensive office experience working independently, alone and with minimal supervision
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure and be able to prioritize
- Thrive in a multitasking environment and able to pivot to different tasks as required
- Positive and enthusiastic
- Detail-oriented
- Well developed communication, interpersonal, project management and time management skills are a must
- Fluent in spoken and written English
Skills & Experience :
- Working knowledge of BC / Federal payroll taxes and filings
- Jonas ERP (payroll and regular accounting functions)
- Enrolment in accounting program
- Minimum 4 years accounts receivable, accounts payable and / or other accounting experience, including payroll
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with accounting software
