Join our Prince George team as a Project Manager in our British Columbia Business Unit.

We are seeking an aspiring, self-motivated, and collaborative Project Manager to join our team of experts committed to leading projects and building relationships across Northern BC.

In this role, you’ll work closely with clients to provide strategic advice and have the rewarding opportunity to contribute to meaningful change through projects that enhance access to housing, clean drinking water, education, and community infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Respect local knowledge and the customs and culture of the people you work with, including Indigenous Nations
  • Lead project delivery from initiation and planning through to project completion
  • Work with a variety of client groups in both the public and private sectors, including Indigenous governing bodies, Indigenous Nations groups and organizations, local authorities (regional districts and municipalities), provincial government and federal government
  • Consult directly with communities, funding partners, and design and construction professionals to plan and implement capital building and infrastructure projects
  • Support Indigenous Nations and local authorities to develop economic prosperity through strategic land planning, land development and business development
  • Support Indigenous Nations and local authorities to plan for emergencies and rebuild after climate-related disasters
  • Provide project leadership, representing clients’ best interests and help them achieve their strategic goals
  • Be a trusted advisor to the client, applying your deep understanding of design, construction, and operation of a variety of public sector facilities and infrastructure
  • Take ownership of project set-up, initiation, execution, monitoring and reporting, close-out, and commissioning
  • Lead and organize project teams towards a common goal and establish levels of authority and lines of communication
  • Report on project status by means of progress reports, meeting minutes, and other correspondence
  • Chair project and site meetings
  • Identify and resolve project challenges
  • Contribute to planning and growth of the business unit within the BC region
  • Your project teams rely on your ability to manage change, communicate, and coordinate between multiple partners and stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver projects on time and on budget
