Your Opportunity
As a Functional Developer you will support the evolution and enhancement of our Oracle E‑Business Suite Financials and BlackLine Financial Close Suite. You will collaborate with business analysts and technical development teams to understand requirements, perform functional analysis and design, and produce functional solution designs, configurations and specifications. You will oversee, configure and design functional solutions, act as the functional subject‑matter expert, guide end‑user groups and keep abreast of relevant module enhancements and updates.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Recommend Oracle EBS and BlackLine functionalities to meet new business requirements, improve existing processes and solve application issues.
- Lead solution design based on Oracle and BlackLine best practices, leveraging out‑of‑the‑box functionality and extensions.
- Develop impact analysis and change management strategies for large implementations or small functionality changes.
- Create functional design documents in collaboration with developers and analysts.
- Contribute to end‑to‑end delivery of Oracle EBS Financials and BlackLine solutions with developers, testers, DBAs and support analysts.
- Monitor, analyze and advise on testing of application patches / upgrades.
- Configure applications to meet business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed system requirements and design for extensions and custom applications.
- Work closely with QA analysts to develop and execute test strategies and plans.
- Present technical solutions to the business in collaboration with Business Analysts.
- Monitor patch releases from Oracle and BlackLine and provide impact assessment to management.
- Provide post‑implementation support to Operations teams.
- Collaborate with the management team to manage priorities, resources and cross‑project dependencies.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Experience as an Oracle Financials and BlackLine implementer.Knowledge of BlackLine products : Account Reconciliations, Task Management, Transaction Matching, Journal Entry and Variance Analysis.Experience with software development and / or system implementation.Involvement in major upgrades or module implementations for Oracle GL, SLA, Intercompany Processing, Financial Reporting and BlackLine products.Creative problem‑solver with strong understanding of accounting business processes.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Highly self‑motivated and detail‑focused.Strong customer‑service orientation.Team‑oriented collaborative experience.Functional experience with Oracle EBS Financials (Release 12) and BlackLine Financial Close Suite.Education and Experience
Post‑secondary degree or diploma in business, information systems or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including configuration and / or extension development for Oracle Financials and BlackLine.This description is not a comprehensive listing of duties and responsibilities. Pay Transparency
Pay ranges for this role are provided where required. Final compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience and location. Certain roles may be bonus eligible. Part‑time compensation is pro‑rated.
