Hours : Variable - must be available between the hours of 5 : 30 am and 7 : 30 pm, weekdays and weekends Some later shifts will be scheduled for special events
Pay Rate : $17.50 / hour.
Detailed Job Description : As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to :
Washing, chopping, and cutting vegetables and fruits to prepare ingredients.
Creating delicious salads and assembling premade options like sandwiches.
Portioning products, such as vegetables and meats, to ensure accurate meal preparation.
Utilizing various kitchen equipment, such as grill tops, fryers, stoves, ovens, etc., to cook and prepare meals.
Maintaining kitchen cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
Monitoring and replenishing stock to ensure a smooth workflow.
Adhering to food safety regulations and wearing proper PPE, including hats, hairnets, and beard nets, while handling food.
Accepting additional shifts outside the regular schedule to meet operational demands.
Being available to work on both weekdays and weekends.
Candidate's Profile : The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications :
1-3 years previous line cook experience in a casual restaurant, fine dining restaurant, or retirement home
Thorough knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
Willingness to wear the uniform and required PPE onsite.
