Senior Mechanical Engineer - Advanced Engineering

As part of Buhler Versatile’s commitment to developing equipment for tomorrow’s farmer, the company is looking to add additional engineering staff to a new Advanced Engineering Department. As a Mechanical Engineer on this team, you would play a collaborative role in a mix of projects, at times acting as either project support or project leadership. You would be responsible for developing and testing solutions to unique challenges presented by Design Engineering, as well as vetting new technologies identified by Marketing.

Key Responsibilities and Duties :

• Participate in a collaborative team environment with multidisciplinary team members
• Work on a variety of short term and longer term design projects
• Provide support to R&D technicians responsible for prototype construction
• Develop and manage lab an field tests involving agricultural equipment
• Interact with external design teams on a regular basis
• Coordinate product design from initial concept through design, prototype build and test
• Create documentation for passing on project lessons learned to Design Engineering
• Create and manage project timelines
• Manage project scope and cost
