We are seeking Heavy Duty Mechanics (Journeyman or 3rd to 4th year Apprentices) for an esteemed shop in Grande Prairie. These are premium positions with with a multibranch organization that has been time-tested for over three decades.
Dedicate your craft to quality repair in the maintenance of on-highway trucks while gaining access to manufacturer support and factory training.
Key Responsibilities :
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and conduct bumper to bumper repairs on a variety of heavy duty commercial trucks
- Routine maintenance and inspections
- Adhering to safety procedures and regulations at all times
- Documenting all repairs and maintenance performed, including parts and labor used
- Ordering parts and maintenance logs
- Communicating with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective repairs and maintenance
Qualifications :
- Alberta Journeyman Certificate or Red Seal in Heavy Equipment Technician - Truck and Transport Mechanic
- Alberta Apprenticeship Certificate.
- Proven professional experience maintaining on-highway heavy duty trucks and diesel engines
- Ownership of own tools
Compensation :
- $43.00 - $49.00 / hour to start.
- Health insurance, dental, disability, life insurance, RRSP match, paid time off and tuition reimbursement
- Tool & Boot allowance
Shift :
Days, 8 : 00am to 5 : 30pm (Monday to Friday).
