Position Summary

The SE Research Centre conducts impact-oriented applied health services research to synthesize, generate, translate, adapt and directly apply scientific evidence in the design, delivery and evaluation of person and family-centered health and social care services. The Research Associate plays a key role in advancing impactful applied research that informs real-world care. This position leads coordination of scientific studies, including managing timelines, budgets and ethics submissions, while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. The Associate implements rigorous data collection and management practices, engages research participants using best participatory research practices, supports analysis of quantitative and / or qualitative data, and contributes to interpretation of findings. In collaboration with the scientific team, the Associate contributes to a broad range of knowledge mobilization activities to share evidence with academic, practitioner and decision-maker audiences.

Responsibilities

• Project Management of Scientific Research Studies – Lead development and management of research study project documentation, oversee communication across teams, lead project meetings, manage Ethics Board submissions, support budget development and expense tracking.
• Data Collection and Analysis – Lead recruitment and informed consent processes, support development of data collection tools, collect data using best methodological practices, implement REB‑approved data management practices, and support data analysis and interpretation.
• Knowledge Mobilization & Team Support – Support preparation of conference abstracts, aid in the execution of presentations, prepare knowledge mobilization products (reports, briefs, infographics, etc.), and support centre initiatives to improve collaboration.
