We are now recruiting a control room operator , in fly in; fly out on a 14-14 rotation, who will support the team based at our office in Schefferville.

Place of work : Schefferville

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Ensure procedural requirements are followed to safely start up, efficiently operate and safety shut down all process equipment.
• Actively maintain communication with all plant operators.
• Monitor and control crushing and dewatering operations.
• Operate and monitor the control systems effectively to maximize production.
• Troubleshoot, identify and correct system malfunctions.
• Maintain daily shift logs for Supervisor and cross-over.
• Upholds and follows safety policies, procedures, regulations, hazard identification, and promotes safety awareness through day-to-day attitudes and actions.
• Adjusts and establishes daily tasks to meet changing orders of priorities.
• Dust & noise.
• Required to work day shift, night shift weekends and statutory holidays.
• Performs other related duties as required .

Qualifications :

• Experience as a Control Room Operator.
• Thorough knowledge of all Mill or flow chart
• Able to communicate effectively verbally (and radio specifically) and in writing.
• Able to work under pressure and make decisions in high pressure situation.
