Job Title Senior Manager - Stations (Supporting the GO Expansion Program) Location Toronto, ON CA (Primary) Category Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, Technical Advisory Job Type Full-time Job Responsibilities (Internal Role : Project Management V) Provides strategic, tactical and collaborative leadership and direction to deliver a large scale, multi stakeholder, capital infrastructure projects through a variety of different contracting models Works hand in hand with the relevant Vice President or Director to lead all aspects of project delivery including scope, cost, schedule and quality management, and provides support as required to deliver the mandate Leads a high performing team in the delivery of station infrastructure projects on behalf of the VP GO Expansion Stations Capital Delivery, encompassing construction, commissioning, and deployment into operational service (e.

g., tracks, grade separations, stations, platforms, parking, train support facilities) in accordance with corporate project management standards, procedures, controls and environmental requirements to minimize the impact on train service and to maintain a high level of customer service Provides senior level leadership oversight and direction to employees and vendors engaged in interdependent project teams (e.

g., defines team member roles, responsibilities, and expectations) Lead the developing project delivery strategies while providing overall administrative and technical leadership and oversight to capital projects consisting of multiple capital corridor infrastructure projects to ensure consistency and coordination of efforts and successful completion of the program Integrates corporate requirements, commitments and initiatives into projects, including design requirements, environmental assessment conditions, community and municipal commitments, Passenger Charter, design excellence, and property acquisition conditions Collaborate with other client stakeholders to incorporate requirements, and ensure projects within CPG are implemented consistently, efficiently, safely, and in a coordinated manner Oversee consultants and contractors in the delivery of scope of work, as defined in respective contracts, ensuring that corrective action and escalation is initiated when necessary Manage project scope and requirements changes;

handles change orders with contractors, including negotiating, processing and assessing cost and schedule impacts; ensures all are clearly identified and approved before progressing, and ensuring contract documents reflect addendums issued Responsible for the assigned projects from inception through to completion Develop new project plans in consultation with stakeholders, including clients Direct the human and material resources required to complete assigned projects successfully Formulate a resource allocation strategy and utilize this to distribute work and budgets Exercise authority in managing the work and controlling the delivery of the projects per project plans Monitor project staff performance to ensure excellence and adherence to specified deadlines Review and ensure observance of the overall scope, schedule, and budget Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans Lead the tracking, monitoring, and reporting on performance against project requirements, schedule, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs, and addressing of issues with corrective actions as appropriate Evaluate the project's effectiveness by consulting with clients and project staff Oversee staff on progress reports, proposals, and presentations to various audiences, including the project team, client executives, key stakeholders, and operations Direct the negotiation of scope changes Manage ongoing quality control checks and participate in quality issue resolution Define the success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project and program life cycle Set and interpret project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders Working Conditions Office-based Qualifications Required Experience : Minimum of 18 years of experience in Project Management Education : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Licenses OR Certifications : Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Skills and Competencies : Significant project management experience on large scale projects Demonstrates progressive experience in engineering and project management services associated with the planning, design, and construction of stations or similar large infrastructure projects Experience leading a team of technical professionals Demonstrated knowledge in the theories, principles and practices of civil design and construction, skill and proficiency in broad phases of engineering application Knowledge of principles and practices of architecture, urban planning, engineering design and their application to the construction of infrastructure, facilities, and related works Demonstrated experience successfully managing the competing objectives of many external and internal stakeholders Must understand key performance indicator monitoring and engagement, directly linked to monthly measurement criteria established Strong analytical and negotiation skills and experience with vendor management to manage development and delivery of externally provided products and services Sound commercial and business acumen, with experience managing complex negotiations for construction projects to align with overall project objectives Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience managing a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including municipalities and third party utility providers Expert grasp of prevailing Project Management methods Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Proficient in Project Management software Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities with a track record for meeting deadlines Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal) in a demanding multidisciplinary project environment Expert ability to detect, capitalize, and be sensitive to others' strengths Demonstrated capability to supervise, delegate, and develop capacity Proven capacity to anticipate, identify, and minimize risks Effectively lead multi-resource Project Management teams Ability to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently on creative and analytical tasks in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven environment Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment by ensuring effective teamwork, promotion of innovation, and overall excellence Demonstrated functional acumen to support how solutions will address
