Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager will demonstrate outstanding sales ability, leadership and communication skills, and contribute to the overall store concept as we strive to be the Canadian leader in pharmacy health care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate outstanding sales ability, leadership capabilities, and contribute to the overall store concept.
• Assist with human resource activities including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures and handling union issues where applicable.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and patient care for the store.
• Assist the Front Store Manager in ensuring the store achieves budgeted sales, gross profit, EBITDA, inventory targets, labour costs, shrink, and controllable store expenses.
• Champion and model the development of store‑level subject matter expertise in health and wellness product knowledge, merchandising, loss prevention, and health and safety.
• Adhere to marketing programs and initiatives, including retail price management, merchandising, planograms, flyer implementation and local advertising initiatives.
