Industrial Millwright

Our client in the packaging industry is seeking an Industrial Millwright to join their team in Aurora.

Hours : 12-hour continental shift - rotating days and nightsPay rate : $46 per hour Location : Aurora

Primary Purpose and Function : Licensed Industrial Millwright Mechanic.

Must have Industrial Millwright License

Major Duties and Responsibilities : -Maintain production and building equipment. Fabrication of machine parts to improve safety and or machine efficiencies.-Must be able to contribute to afterhours help or may be required to work shift work to keep the plant maintained.

Knowledge and Skill : -Must have competent skills and knowledge in pneumatic systems,-Work safely while performing maintenance functions in manufacturing or processing environments.-Be competent to operate safely general shop machine and hand tools such as, Lathes, Grinders, and Welders.-Service and maintain Hydraulic systems,-Power transmission components, disassembly and reassemble and proper techniques for alignment.-Inspection and repair of centrifugal pumps and valves.-Read and interpret mechanical, electrical and fluid power schematics for troubleshooting.-Plan and safely perform rigging and hoisting operations.-Join metals using oxy-acetylene and electric arc welding techniques.-Operate heavy lifting equipment such as tow motors scissor lifts and overhead cranes.-Knowledge and practice of lockout / tagout procedures for the safety of self and others.

Communication Skills :

Must be able to have good communication skills to work with fellow team members and other personal in the building. This is important when working on breakdowns of production machines and will help getting machines online safer and faster.

Responsibilities : This individual will have daily duties and responsibilities. They will have to follow a detailed Preventative Maintenance and Food Defense Program schedule and fill out the proper

Initiative and Creativity : The department is always encouraged to take initiative and creativity throughout the Plant; there are always strong Safety ideas and machine efficiencies ideas that come from maintenance departments. These ideas can be brought to life by building in-house using their skills and knowledge.

Reporting Relationships : The employee will report to maintenance manager for daily instructions and project work.A Plant Manager, Supervisor may ask for assistance from the maintenance department and we are there to serve and make their jobs easier.

Physical Effort Requirements : -At times requires light to heavy lifting. 5-75 lbs-Crawling and getting into tight spaces to make repairs and troubleshoot.-Working at heights with proper training and equipment.-Working longer than 8 hours or being called in after hours to make repairs.

Environment : Walking, kneeling and laying on concrete at , Workers are provided the proper clothing for everyday situations as well as winter suits for working outside.
