Senior Business Analyst

This is a part-time contract position for 2 months (20 hours per week)

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Business Analyst position plays a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.

They work under general direction and are responsible for combining sophisticated analytical skills with tactical leadership skills to contribute to the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of all work completed under their guidance.

The Business Analyst is the vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing, and deployment tasks of the software product’s features.

They have experience working on software development projects in an agile process, are great at communicating with developers, testers, and designers, are detail-oriented, and love digging into requirements to understand what the requirements are and delivering them in a demonstrable way.

Accountabilities

• Work closely with clients to gather, understand, and define business requirements
• Own and develop a relationship with clients, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration
• Convert business requirements into user stories, ensuring clear acceptance criteria are defined and understood by the project delivery team
• Be aware of common sources of technical issues and questions, and make recommendations to the team
• Communicate key insights and findings to the team
• Work closely with the delivery team to ensure requirements are understood and questions are answered
• Maintain the project requirement backlog ensuring complete coverage and prioritization of requirements
• Help in release planning by identifying gaps and dependencies amongst requirements
• Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve the monitoring and discovery of issues and deliver better value to the customer
• Maintain a Quality mindset and contribute to regular reviews of project team deliverables
• Assist with UAT testing

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in Business / Systems Analysis
• A degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience in eliciting and documenting requirements
• Experience working directly with Clients
• Must have experience in Healthcare Diagnostics or Laboratory Domains
• Experience being the sole Business Analyst working on a project
• Experience working on Software Development projects
• Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
• Knowledge in generating clear and concise process documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
