About the Role

Our Mechanical Engineers are responsible for design of highly complex opto‑mechanical and electromechanical components from concept straight through to production. The work is driven by specific objectives, goals and defined boundaries but requires the application of advanced engineering experience and specialized knowledge for complex assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for mechanical design and analysis of complex opto‑mechanical and electromechanical products from concept through to production using modern CAD and analysis tools.
• Perform innovation and / or suggest ways to improve systems and / or reduce cost.
• Carry out complex engineering assignments that often require modifying established methods and devising new approaches, ensuring timely completion of difficult projects.
• Act as a major technical contributor or lead to project goals and objectives.
• Contribute to the definition of departmental best practices and design approaches.
• Provide technical or project‑related guidance and direction to other staff, mentoring on complex design practices.
• Participate in design reviews as a presenter or reviewer.
• Support the verification and validation of new product designs.
• Maintain awareness of mechanical industry trends and new technologies relevant to future product development.
