Apex Aluminum is a state-of-the‑art aluminum extrusion factory located in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. With a 170,000 square foot aluminum extrusion facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, Apex can offer custom extrusions, mill finish aluminum and anodized aluminum to satisfy the most demanding customer and all architectural needs.

As an Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for the programming, integration, and optimization of control systems in support of automated manufacturing processes. This position requires a strong background in PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and the ability to interface with cross‑functional teams to support production efficiency and reliability. The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and includes the following duties and responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Control Systems Programming and Integration :

• Design, develop, and implement PLC and HMI programs (e.g. Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to ensure smooth and reliable operation of production equipment.
• Update and document logic and control system changes.
• Develop and support SCADA systems for plant monitoring.
• Integrate new equipment and upgrade existing systems with minimal downtime.
