Role Overview

Journeyman Welder – skilled fabrication, repair, mentorship, liaison to Lead Hand ensuring project quality.

Day in the Life

Operate welding equipment (GTAW, GMAW FCAW, SMAW, MCAW) and cutting tools following safety protocols.
Read blueprints and specs to fabricate, fit, repair rig components with quality and integrity.
Assist in project planning, estimation, rigging, hoisting, shop housekeeping to maintain safe environment.
Mentor welding apprentices, supporting knowledge sharing and safety.

Qualifications

Registered Red Seal Journeyman Welder Certification.

Experience with FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, all-position welds, fitting; structural fabrication is strong asset.

Read and interpret structural blueprints, welding symbols; familiarity with API, CWB, ASME, CSA advantageous.

Holding B pressure ticket and experience in oilfield, automotive, or aviation manufacturing valued.
