About the Role : Reporting

The Warehouse Technician (General) reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

Carry out inspection and verification on aircraft parts and components to ensure accuracy in inventory.

Inspect aircraft parts and components certification paperwork, ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations and Avmax policies and procedures.

Receive, sort, and stock materials to the location assigned in the ERP system.

Report unserviceable parts and components to the Lead Inventory Analyst.

Assist in creating and maintaining records on the receipt or distribution of aircraft material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.

Examine inbound shipments for accuracy and conditions, sort the shipments, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely receipt of all shipments.

Ensure physical inventory counts of aviation parts and equipment match the ERP system records.

Maintaining an organized receiving bay and warehouse area by offloading trucks and faciliting distribution activities.

Mitigating the risk of loss or damage by packing and handling material appropriately.

Providing ongoing support for the Warehouse Team and providing cross-functional daily support with picking, receiving inspection, outbound shipping, and distribution, as required.

Provide training and supporting the training needs of other teams.

Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and notifying management of any safety concerns.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent. Aviation-related training and / or eduation is considered a strong asset.

Superior organization skills and attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Experience

Minimum one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in aviation.

Experience with a computerized inventory system preferred.

Aviation experience is considered an asset.
