Truck and Trailer Apprentice

Join to apply for the Truck and Trailer Apprentice role at Bison Transport Inc.

As the Truck and Trailer Apprentice (Level 2, 3 or 4), you will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator and the other Tractor / Trailer Technician / Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections and prescribing the correct remedial action.

Qualifications

• You will be a registered Apprentice with the Provincial Training Board either Level 2, 3 or 4
• Passed the Apprenticeship entry exam
• Graduation from a recognized certificate program (ex. Truck and Transport Technician, Heavy Duty Technician), and the desire to obtain your Journeyman's certificate will be key to your success in this position
• Effective time management and team focus
• May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less
