Job Duties
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues with agricultural equipment
- Repair and maintain agricultural machinery, including tractors, combines, and harvesters
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems
- Utilize power tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
- Operate a crane or other lifting equipment to move heavy parts or machinery
- Collaborate with customers to understand their equipment issues and provide excellent customer service
- Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts inventory
Qualifications :
- Experience as an Agricultural Equipment Technician or similar role is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with machinery
- Familiarity with farm machinery brands such as Massey-Ferguson, Case and / or John Deere is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficient in using power tools and other specialized equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills to interact with customers effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- License / Certification : *Not necessary, but preferred* Graduate in Agricultural Equipment Technician or Heavy Equipment Technician.
