Job Description Summary
The successful candidate will be a team player working with a cross‑functional team including mechanical, hardware and FPGA design, software development and project management to deliver and maintain best‑in‑class products for the global market. This position will primarily oversee the delivery of hardware development tasks, including design, test, documentation and post‑release support.
Essential Responsibilities
- Capture PCBA requirement in collaboration with other engineering teams
- Architect and design robust concepts and specifications in alignment with product requirements
- Support effort planning of design engineering activities
- Design for safety, testability, and manufacturability
- Perform electronic component qualification
- Schematics capture for hardware designs including processors, FPGA, switch mode power supplies, high speed data interfaces, precision analog acquisition
- Circuit analysis including power, tolerance, and reliability
- Design for compliance with internal and external technical regulation and standards
- Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits
- Resolve production and field failure issues
- Support mechanical design, software, test engineering, and manufacturing
- Support qualification and acceptance testing
- Provide technical support for production and service
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experienceMinimum of 8 years experience with analog and digital circuit designExperience with EMC / EMI, CE, UL, RoHSFamiliar with multi‑layer PCBFamiliarity with electronics lab test equipment and test methodsDesired Characteristics
Capable of developing and writing specifications in an engineering environmentExperience with EMI / EMC validation and electrical pre‑certification complianceIn‑depth expertise with Altium EDA toolProficiency performing circuit analysis using simulation tools (SPICE)Statistical approach for circuit design and qualification (Monte Carlo, z‑score, 6 sigma…)FPGA design experienceAdditional Information
For candidates applying to a Canadian‑based position, the pay range for this position is between $105,300 and $155,300 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility : 10% Annual Incentive Plan.
