Lead Interface Engineer - EDM Gearbox
Responsible for managing system interactions between components and subsystems of the EDM gearbox, reporting to the Chief Engineer across multiple programs.
Key Responsibilities include :
- System integration and balancing of EDM Gearbox hardware components
- Collaboration with Design Release Engineers and Centers of Excellence
- Manufacturing support and development validation
- Organizing and reviewing hardware design reviews and proposals
- Managing virtual analysis, CAE teams, and ensuring completion of virtual DVP / Scorecard
- Leading DFMEA / DRBFM reviews for driveline systems to ensure design robustness
- Supporting cost development and cost roll-ups for programs
- Reviewing change notices and ensuring documentation updates
- Leading technical cost reduction and value optimization efforts
- Managing lessons learned documentation and updates
- Monitoring validation status and coordinating review processes
- Managing cross-functional teams for quality and issue resolution
Requirements :
Knowledge of EDM Gearboxes, Drivelines, Axles, or TransmissionsExcellent communication and leadership skillsProblem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to work under pressure and prioritize tasksSelf-motivated with strong organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications :
Experience in driveline, axle, transmission, or powertrain systems engineeringDesign release responsibility for gearbox, driveline, or axleMaster's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relatedLeadership experience in small teamsKnowledge of powertrain development processes and tools like DFMEA, DVP&RExperience with electric motors in automotive applicationsAbility to manage multiple projects effectivelyStrong system-level thinking and presentation skillsEducation :
