Casual Community Services Custodian

The City of Winklers Community Services department creates opportunities for Winklers residents and visitors to stay active have fun and be a part of the community. This department maintains and operates our indoor and outdoor recreation facilities organizes recreational programming and plans community events. This team makes a vital contribution to our citys quality of life!

What Youll Do

Reporting to the Head Custodian the Casual Community Services Custodian serves the public by cleaning the Meridian Exhibition Centre restocking washroom supplies and moving nets during hockey games.

Job Duties include but are not limited to :

• The primary focus of the casual custodian is to make sure the dressing rooms washrooms bleachers and other high traffic areas remain clean throughout the shift.
• Sweep and wash floors with brooms dry mops mops and an autoscrubber.
• Move nets during hockey games when the Zamboni is resurfacing the ice.
• Sanitize surfaces throughout the Meridian Exhibition Centre.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers.
• Restock washroom supplies (toilet paper paper towels soap etc.).
• Clean and disinfect toilets urinals sinks counters and mirrors.
• Assist with snow clearing on walkways.
• Other general cleaning throughout the facility.
• Help with custodial duties in outdoor facilities in summer.
• And other relevant tasks as assigned.
