Corporate Security Officer

Any Pinchin Office (Work from Home)

Pinchin Ltd. is currently looking to hire a Company Security Officer (CSO) to join any of our Pinchin offices on a remote basis.

The CSO is responsible for maintaining Organization, Employee & Sub-Contractor security clearances and plays a pivotal role in Pinchin’s ability to meet the security requirements of Government and Private Sector contracts.

The CSO is the official point of contact with Public Services and Procurement Canada’s Contract Security Program (CSP), accountable to the CSP on all contract security matters.

You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with the Federal CSP, and Controlled Goods Programs, as well as other Federal, Provincial and Private Sector security programs (e.

g., RCMP, Courthouses, Infrastructure ON, OPP, Correctional Institutions, Banks, Schools, etc.). With your strategic vision and leadership, you will lead our security team and create policies and procedures to keep operations running efficiently.

What you will be doing at Pinchin

  • Maintain Pinchin’s Organizational Clearances with PSPC CSP, the Controlled Goods Program and other Federal, Provincial and Private Sector organizations.
  • Be responsible for leading the administration of personnel security clearances (new, renewals, upgrades, duplications, amendments, terminations).
  • Appoint, brief, and train all ACSOs. All work must comply with the Contract Security Manual (CSM) and the CSP’s requirements.
  • Provide ongoing basic education and awareness to employees on the corporate security program.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of Personnel Security Screening Requests and Visit Clearance Requests.
  • Support new employees on arrival as required.
  • Maintain all Company security files, including protected / classified documentation.
  • Completing and maintaining certification in the Designated Official Certification Program.
  • Seek out assistance from PSPC / CSP for security briefings and training as required.
  • Work with the Contracts team for the administration of security requirements on all subcontracts prior to contract award and during the term of the agreement.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive strategies to assess, mitigate, and manage risks across all operational facets of the organization.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust security processes and policies to safeguard the corporation's assets.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the security team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement; and
  • Develop and mentor team members, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute effectively to the organization's security objectives.

What you bring to the Pinchin team

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Security Management, Risk Management, Business Administration) required.
  • Experience working Federal Government, Consulting or Construction would be an asset; and
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Chief Information Security Officer.
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible leadership, administration, and coordination experience in either a corporate or government setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and Provincial government contracting and security processes.
  • The successful candidate will be required to obtain CSO status and therefore must have or be eligible to obtain Federal personal security clearance to the Level of Secret (10 years of continuous Canada residency, clear criminal record).
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of successfully implementing security initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate complex risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments and levels of the organization.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solver; ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
