We’re looking for a 3D Generalist to join Snap Inc! As a member of the 3D Bitmoji team, you will help create the world’s avatar.

Working from our Toronto office, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop avatar assets and animations, as well as be a part of brainstorming and executing on unique ideas for the future of Bitmoji.

What you’ll do :

Focus primarily on 3D art and character creation using a PBR workflow

Create character and prop animations and rigs

Assist with animation integration into real-time engines

Meet technical and artistic challenges with a positive and proactive attitude

Ensure the quality of the final product by actively participating in QA and A / B tests

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Communicate in a clear, effective, and kind manner

Be proactive in receiving and responding to feedback from peers and leads

Enjoys skill sharing and contributing to overall team growth

Minimum Qualifications :

Clear demonstration of organic modeling (stylized characters, clothing) and optimizing for real-time

BS / BA degree or equivalent years of experience

3+ years of experience in a modeling role with at least 2 shipped game / real-time project titles

Proficient in Maya, Zbrush, and Substance Painter

Experience with character and prop animation and rigging

Preferred Qualifications :

Technical understanding of a traditional 3D pipeline from the starting process of a project to finalized completion and render

Understanding of lighting

Understanding of asset creation specifically for AR / VR platforms

Experience working with avatar systems, modular asset creation, or digital fashion libraries

A basic understanding of scripting is a plus but is not required

Experience with Lens Studio is a plus!
