Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator with some experience in pricing and a solid understanding of the construction industry. This role is ideal for students looking to get experience in estimating while working alongside an experienced team on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects
Review drawings, specifications, and other project documents
Perform quantity take-offs and pricing
Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes
Support bid preparation and submission processes
Maintain accurate records of estimates and project data
Municipal permit document preparation, submission and tracking
Prepare Excel spreadsheets for Municipal projects
Communicate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors as needed

Qualifications

1 year of experience in construction estimating or related field or applicable apprenticeship

Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and terminology

Experience with pricing, take-offs, and reading blueprints

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with estimating software is a plus)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required) Students Welcome to Apply
