Job Summary

CIMT College is looking for an instructor to teach the PSW Clinical program. The candidate will follow college policies and use provided instructor manuals to deliver hands‑on training and assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the field and instruct curriculum using authorized materials.
  • Plan and deliver lectures, presentations, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, case studies, and group projects.
  • Use adult learning strategies to communicate subject matter to diverse students.
  • Administer quizzes, assignments, exams and other assessments and evaluate student performance fairly and consistently.
  • Provide timely feedback and facilitate learner reflection.
  • Maintain attendance records, classroom cleanliness, and resource integrity.
  • Support admissions team with prospective student inquiries.
  • Participate in meetings, annual events, and professional development activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student privacy.

Qualifications

  • At least 48 months of work experience as RN, RPN, or PSW, or 36 months teaching experience and 24 months work experience, or 24 months work experience plus a Bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university (or equivalent).
  • Graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to adapt to diverse learning styles.
  • Professional business attire and interpersonal skills; ability to mentor and model practitioner behavior.
