Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant (Rehabilitation Assistant) to join the Inpatient Allied Health - Spine (Rehab) team at . Strong Rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver, BC. Apply today to join our team!

As a Occupational Therapy Assistant with VCH you will :

• Function under the operational supervision of the Program Manager, and the practice supervision of Occupational Therapy Practice Coordinator.
• Work under the direction of the designated occupational therapist, in coordination with other interdisciplinary team members to carry out established rehabilitative activities within the occupational therapy (OT) scope of practice.
• Receive assignments and implement lower risk interventions related to the clinical aspects of OT care plans.
• Demonstrate and teach activities.
• Adapt devices to enable patients / clients / residents to maximize their potential for independence.
• Provide functional direction to patient / client / residents and family, and assist with practicing daily living skills.
• Report relevant observations of patient / client / resident progress and behaviours.
• Provide direction to volunteers.
• Organize and clean equipment and supplies for activities, and maintain established inventory of supplies.
