INTRODUCTION :

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services.

Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients.

These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

• Execute screening procedures for personnel, equipment and material entering and leaving site and the Client property is secured
• Monitor Network video systems
• Access Control Alarm Monitoring and Response
• Access Card Printing and Distribution
• Crate and Verify contractor access tickets and provide escort
• Execute Asset Management procedures as per Post Order
• Execute key management procedures as per Post Order
• Conduct property patrols of client locations, in accordance with site instructions
• Liaise with Police, Fire, EMS as appropriate during incidents
• Complete patrol and incident reports utilizing reporting software, and paper reports as required
• Maintain professionalism at all times, during all interactions
• Undertake all training assigned to you in a timely fashion
• Be available to adjust schedule as required to accommodate the needs of the team
• Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US :

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma
• MUST* Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• MUST* Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
• Good Computer skills especially with MS Office suite and ability to learn to use Security management and CRM software.
• Proficiency in using MS Teams and One Note
• Ability to stand / sit / walk for long periods of time
• Excellent customer service and reception skills
• Preferred A diploma in Police Foundations
• Preferred Post Secondary Certificate

• Rate of Pay : $20.00 per hour
• Working Hours : Weekends 1900 to 0700 hrs
• Location : 6800 Millcreek Drive, Mississauga
