SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTION
Under the responsibility of the Vice-president - Operations Accoiunting, the Project Manager - Operations Accounting will supervise the implementation of operations accounting projects and monitor them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Target optimization or automation opportunities on current processes, recommend them and implement them.
- Participate in the implementation of new systems, perform tests and configure in SAP.
- Ensure the compliance and validity of transaction data in the computer system.
- Build financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Participate in the establishment of relevant KPIs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the SAP system and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Be the BI and SAP reference as a super-user.
- Participate in the month-end process.
- Participate in the annual budget process.
- Implement management tools.
- Standardize our methods and set up procedures for the department.
- Be a backup for the operations accounting team in the event of departures or unforeseen events.
- Have a functional analyst role in collaboration with IT.
- Participate in acquisitions and integration of new entities.
- Train and onboard new members.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics.
- Have between 3 and 5 years of expoerince in a similar position.
- Have an experience in finance and control within a multinational company.
- Have an experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Have knowledge of Excel is required.
- Have knowledge of SAP software is an asset.
- Demonstrate communication skills.
- Be teamwork and collaboration oriented.
- Dmonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be dynamic and results-oriented.
