Here's how an Administrative Assistant for our BC Region office contributes to our team :

Responsibilities

  • Supports day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks for manager, department, or team.
  • Develops and maintains customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Answers telephone calls and takes messages for manager, department, or team members.
  • Ensures appropriate document control and compliance through filing, composing, and editing documents and reports for manager, department, team, or district office.
  • Captures, documents, and distributes accurate minutes and agendas.
  • Manages email, calendars and meeting schedules on behalf of others.
  • Assists with planning meetings and events, including arranging for catering, booking locations, and distributing information.
  • Arranges travel, hotel, and car reservations and preparing travel itinerary.
  • Organizes, tracks, and logs administrative project data.
  • Greets visitors and answering their questions, directing them to meeting rooms, and connecting them with employees.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in office administration program considered an asset.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an administrative assistant.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to change.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information and managing difficult situations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents / presentations.
  • Ability to quickly learn and master new software and tools to support tasks
  • Intermediate skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Bluebeam, and OneNote.
  • Intermediate First Aid considered an asset.

PCL combines numerous pay and benefit strategies to provide a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package. The salary for this role may be $50,000 to $65,000.
