This role ensures that Katalyst remains at the forefront of digital transformation, subsurface data management, and cloud-based solutions for the energy sector. • Advise the CEO and executive team on technology investments, risks, and opportunities.
  • Operate effectively across software and infrastructure environments, including cloud, on‑premises, hybrid systems, compute, storage, networking, and bare metal platforms.
  • Innovation & Product Development

  • Lead and oversee research and development (R&D) initiatives to create innovative solutions for subsurface data management and digital transformation.
  • Champion a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement across all technology teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery of new products and enhancements that meet client needs and industry standards.
  • Embed security, compliance, and risk management into architecture and development from the start.

  • Represent Katalyst at industry conferences, forums, and client meetings to showcase technology leadership.
  • Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing technology organization, including software engineering and product development.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between R&D, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Lead a disciplined operating framework with automated reporting, resource and throughput metrics, burndown tracking, and clear accountability for run and build work.
  • Bring rigor to startup‑style functions and agility to legacy functions to create a unified Katalyst culture with shared standards and ways of working.
  • Unite geographically separate development teams to collaborate and share information to improve productivity and results.
  • Skills & Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as CTO or senior technology leader in a global organization, preferably within energy or data management sectors.
  • Expertise in web technologies, data governance, and enterprise software development.
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and drive innovation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, including product development and innovation management.
  • Proven track record in driving digital transformation, cloud-based solutions, and subsurface data management within the energy sector.
  • Global leadership experience, managing large, geographically dispersed R&D and technical teams.
  • Expertise in strategic planning and execution, with demonstrated success in aligning technology initiatives to business objectives.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in innovative frameworks, including idea generation, evaluation, and commercialization of technology solutions.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities :

The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for leading global research and development (R&D) teams, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and innovation goals. This includes oversight of the team, product development, technology initiatives, and process improvements.

    Work Environment :
