About the Role
The System Analyst will be a Digital Insights team member, responsible for developing, cloud-based solutions using various technologies such as Data Factory, DevOps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL and Power Platform.
Reporting to the Director, Digital Insights, the System Analyst will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the business needs and comply with the established standards and best practices.

Reporting to the Director, Digital Insights, the System Analyst will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the business needs and comply with the established standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cloud-based systems, software integrations, and application functionalities utilizing Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Generative AI components, Microsoft Logic Apps, Data Factory, API Manager, Azure Functions, DevOps, and Key Vault to address business requirements.
- Develop application prototypes for validation and demonstration before initiating comprehensive development.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to configure and implement new features and applications.
- Analyze both functional and non-functional requirements to provide accurate estimates for development efforts.
- Stay informed about the latest Power Platform features, updates, and enhancements to recommend improvements and optimizations.
- Engage with Citizen Developers and Power Users, offering guidance on best practices to enhance their effective use of the Power Platform.
- Propose and implement automation strategies using the MS Power Platform to streamline business processes.
- Document technical processes and maintain up-to-date documentation.
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development with 2 years expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Logic Apps, Data Factory, API Manager, Azure Functions, and DevOps.
- Comprehensive understanding of Power Platform architecture and its data structures.
- Proficiency in integrating PowerApps with various data sources.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and commitment to development best practices, including naming conventions, error handling, logging, and commenting.
- Familiarity with the Power Platform licensing model.
- Practical knowledge of Data Analytics and proficiency in using data analytic tools for informed decision-making.
- Proficiency in creating and managing stored procedures in SQL, from basic to intermediate levels.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about new technologies and concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
- Strong planning, prioritizing, and time management skills, with ability to undertake and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working under tight deadlines.
- University or College Degree in Computer Science / Technology or equivalent.
- Microsoft Power Platform certification an asset.
- Microsoft Power BI certification an asset.
- Knowledge in database coding (T-SQL & PL / SQL) an asset.
- Experience in data analytics tools (Alteryx, Tableau) an asset.
Note : Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively.
