Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hamilton, ON, for a Confined Space Rescue Technician. The responsibilities include supervising and managing confined space entry and working at heights, implementing rescue plans, and responding to emergencies during confined space operations. The technician will perform hazard identification, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Additional duties include providing first aid support and participating in safety training initiatives as required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health standards
• Strong understanding of Workplace Safety practices and procedures
• Excellent Communication skills for effective team collaboration and client interactions
• Previous experience in confined space rescue or related roles is an asset
• Valid first aid and CPR certifications are required
• Familiarity with hazard identification, risk assessment, and rescue planning procedures
• Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging environments
• Certificate or training in confined space supervision or equivalent education is an advantage
• Pre Service Fire Fighting Certificate
