Role description
Arcadis is seeking a Document Controller for Engineering Services during the Construction phase of the Fraser River Tunnel Project (FRTP), a major infrastructure initiative replacing the aging George Massey Tunnel with a new, toll-free, eight-lane immersed tube tunnel—an essential link in Metro Vancouver’s transportation network. Role accountabilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and implement the Document Management Plan, ensuring the effective control and organization of all project documentation. The successful candidate will configure the Share Center to facilitate document control and manage access, while also defining reporting requirements and migrating reference documents as necessary.
Training is a key aspect of the position, with the expectation to instruct both internal and external stakeholders on document processes. The role requires maintaining distribution matrices, managing document workflows, and classifying as well as distributing documents received from external parties. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for managing access permissions and ensuring the timely processing of documents.
Providing document control support to project teams and external users is essential, along with ensuring quality control and compliance with relevant standards. The role also includes supporting external portals and client systems as needed, and assisting with the archiving and final handover of project documentation.
Participation in Share Center closeout activities is required, including the use of Share Center tools for document registration and metadata management. The candidate will also respond to queries and assist in training other document controllers, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout the document management process.

The salary range for this position is $66 000 - $99 000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
