Job Overview :

Equinox Engineering is seeking a motivated Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) Process to join our team in Calgary, Alberta.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry‑level engineer to gain practical, direct experience in process design and operations within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior engineers, contributing to process simulations, calculations, and the preparation of technical documentation.

This role is well suited for individuals who are enthusiastic about learning, eager to contribute to multidisciplinary projects, and committed to developing skills and expertise in Process Engineering.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in performing process simulations and modeling for various engineering projects.
• Support the development of material balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Contribute to the preparation of heat and material balances, equipment process data sheets, line sizing calculations, pressure safety valve (PSV) sizing and other required technical documentation.
• Participate in P&ID and HAZOP reviews, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers in the analysis of process systems, including heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and mass balances.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards (i.e. API, ASME, ISO).
• Support project teams with budget tracking, scheduling, and overall technical coordination.
• Work closely with vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary internal teams to develop effective engineering solutions.
• Provide assistance during facility commissioning, start‑up activities, and operational troubleshooting efforts.
