SOCIAL WORKER BSW
Job Description
Within a multidisciplinary program as part of a unique Internet-Delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (ICBT) team, the Social Worker will provide ICBT services to clients with mild to moderate levels of anxiety and depression across the province.
In addition, the employee will assist with various duties such as peer supervision, student supervision, presentations, and promotion.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to become competent in this empirically supported therapy, take part in an exciting new unit, and collaborate on this University of Regina-led project.
Weekly individual and group supervision will be offered.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Social Work. Must be currently registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.
Experience
One or more years of recent experience in a community mental health setting working with adults presenting with mental health disorders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - skill and comfort using computer software, communicating electronically, and with electronic record keeping.
- Experience and skill in individual Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
- Experience in assessing for and managing risk.
- Experience in providing presentations / training to colleagues and the public.
- Knowledge of relevant ethics, legislation, and codes of conduct.
- Time management skills.
