Position Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager & Corporate Fleet Manager, this role oversees and completes all mechanical servicing of the company's commercial truck and trailer fleet as determined by the Fleet Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures and often performs regular and preventative maintenance on vehicles in accordance with established vehicle maintenance schedules
• Schedule and track all vehicle maintenance by maintaining service records for each vehicle, ensuring mechanical safety of all vehicles at all times
• Prioritize day to day vehicle running repairs based on daily log of repair issues & drivers input
• Supervise all shop activities, including coordinating work in repair bay
• Maintain a clean / safe work environment
• Work closely with vehicle manufacturers to see that all Da-Lees requirements and specifications are met
• Maintain a deep knowledge and consistently develop Da-Lees spray systems and vehicle accessories
• Maintain inventory of all shop supplies, including sourcing parts with suppliers, tracking purchase orders, coordinating parts pick-ups and deliveries, benchmarking parts pricing
• Partner closely with Dispatch / Customer Service to ensure vehicle maintenance and service intervals do not conflict with customer delivery requirements
• Communicate externally with suppliers, MTO, vehicle manufacturers (product support, warranty issues)
